FAQ

Does the Quicksilver World Elite Mastercard® have an annual fee?

No. The Capital One Quicksilver World Elite Mastercard® has no annual fee. It also charges no foreign transaction fees on purchases made outside Canada.

How does the first-year cash back match work?

At the end of your first 365 days, Capital One credits you an amount equal to all the cash back you earned during that period, dollar for dollar and with no limit. The match is credited within 2 billing periods. The offer is for new cardholders only, and your account must be open and in good standing.

Which purchases earn 3% cash back?

Purchases at eligible grocery stores (Merchant Category Codes 5411, 5422, 5451 and 5499) and at eligible gas stations and EV charging stations (MCCs 5541, 5542 and 5552). Superstores like Walmart and Costco are excluded. All other purchases earn 1%.

Is there a cap on the cash back I can earn?

No. The 3% and 1% rates are unlimited, and your cash back does not expire as long as your account stays open and in good standing.

How do I redeem my cash back?

Cash back can only be redeemed as a statement credit, in the Capital One app, online or by calling customer service. Each $1 of cash back is worth $1. The credit does not count towards your monthly minimum payment.

What income do I need for the Quicksilver World Elite Mastercard®?

A minimum annual income of $80,000 (individual) or $150,000 (household). If you fall below that, the Quicksilver World Mastercard® offers the same rewards from $50,000 in individual income.

What is the difference between the Quicksilver World Elite and the Quicksilver World?

The rewards, the first-year offer and the insurance are the same. The World Elite requires a higher income, but its interest rate is a flat 20.9%, while the World ranges from 21.9% to 29.9%.
